Are you looking for some tips to speak a second language fluently? If so, read on. In this article I’m going to show you two super important tips that will tremendously help you do it.

1. Get used to it

Foreign language won’t sound so foreign when you start immersing yourself in it to get used to its rhythm and sound. Many people don’t immerse themselves and it’s difficult for them to learn to speak a second language fluently. Don’t be one of these people!

Even if your target language differs a lot from your native language (for example if you want to learn Japanese and you speak English as a first language), you can still get used to it very quickly. You just need to listen to music in your target language, watch movies or short videos (for example on YouTube) and listen to podcasts.

2. Develop a routine and stick to it

Develop a routine to practice as much as you can, for example an hour daily. Many people aren’t fluent even after a few years of “learning a language”, because they learn from time to time (for example a few hours per month). You can’t learn a new language quickly if you don’t do it regularly.

That’s it – two very important tips to speak a second language fluently. There’s one more thing that you need to know: if you aren’t persistent and willing to sacrifice some things (to make time to work on your second language) you probably won’t become fluent in your target language.

That’s why you should work on your self-discipline and stop doing things that aren’t important for you. I hope that you’ll do it. Have fun with your new language!
